The White Horse Gallery is pleased to announced its next exhibition, Nightswimming - Tales of Indigo and Nightfall by local artist, Bethany Kohrt.

Nightswimming - Tales of Indigo and Nightfall, is Bethany Kohrt's most recent collection of work. Her solo exhibition at The White Horse Gallery will showcase works on canvas, centered mainly around the colour indigo, with details in gold and neon. These contemporary artworks explore the themes of fading light and night fall, and relate to the artist's interest in Nocturnes in music.

Bethany's style involves applying and building up layers of paint, before she develops each composition by a combination of methods that might include drawing, scraping, scorching and sanding onto the wood or canvas to create rich textures. Bethany studied Fine Art at Camberwell College of Arts, London, and then obtained an Honours Degree in Art History and Theory at Newcastle University.

Nightswimming - Tales of Indigo and Nightfall will be showing at The White Horse Gallery from Friday 9th June - Sunday 2nd July 2023.

We look forward to seeing you there!
