'Artists of the Rural Scene' - Peter Upton & Mark Upton
Peter Upton and Mark Upton’s new exhibition, Artists of the Rural Scene opens at The White Horse Gallery on Friday 2nd December 2022.
Peter Upton’s notable paintings of Arab horses, the natural world and falconry have been exhibited in Britain and around the world. He is an International Judge of Arab Horses and twice President of the Arab Horse Society of Britain.
Following his successful solo exhibition in 2018, Mark Upton and his uncle Peter have collaborated for this new spectacle that will showcase work old and new. Mark has achieved great success as a country sports artist in the United Kingdom, renowned for his paintings of traditional country scenes in England and Scotland of hunting, shooting, hawking and horse racing. Commissions for his work have been received from organisations such as The British Horseracing Board, The Jockey Club, and the Spinal Injuries Association. Following an artistic lineage, the Upton family have also had a long association with falconry, and so the relationship between the artist and the subject is thoroughly recognised and understood.
Artists of the Rural Scene will be showing at The White Horse Gallery between 2nd December - 31st December 2022 during shop opening hours. (Christmas opening hours may differ.)
We hope to see you there!
