'Tessellate' - Richard Draper

We are delighted to announce our new exhibition at The White Horse Gallery, Tessellate by Richard Draper.

Richard Draper is a visual artist whose work brings together landscape, abstract and conceptual photography. Tessellate is inspired by Islamic tile work, geometry and artists such as MC Escher. It involves rotating, flipping and repeating photographic images to create intricate and unexpected new patterns. These patterns are infinite in scale yet beautiful in their simplicity, and are both satisfying and intriguing in equal measure.

Richard exhibited with us back in 2017, and regularly shows work as part of Marlborough Open Studios. His photographs have been shown in group exhibitions such as the RWA in Bristol, the Martin Parr Foundation and the Royal Photographic Society. He is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) and in 2019, completed an MA in Photography at UWE, Bristol.

Tessellate will be showing at The White Horse Gallery from Friday 7th June - Sunday 30th June 2024, during shop opening hours.
