The White Horse Gallery is pleased to announce a new exhibition of paintings by local artist, Susan Kirkman. 

Upon retirement, Susan began a new career as an artist, and attended many painting and printing courses, notably those from Robin Chilld, Steve Hoskin, and the Open College of the Arts. Her scientific background as a medical physicist may explain why she loves to experiment with media, style, subject-matter, and technique - she hopes never to fall into the trap of having found a winning formula, repeating it indefinitely.

Having acquired an etching press, Susan shows alongside her paintings, pastels, collages and original prints (including etchings, screen prints and monoprints.) These are made from plates she has prepared and
printed herself. 

Susan has shown her work in London, Oxford, and throughout the West Country. In July, she takes part in Marlborough Open Studios, when visitors can see her love of colour and design in both her studio and her 2.6 acre garden. Visitors are welcome by appointment throughout the year.

Paintings will open at The White Horse Gallery on Friday 6th September - Sunday 29th September during shop opening hours.
