'Perspectives' - Pascale Stacey
We are delighted to announce our first exhibition of 2024, Perspectives by local artist, Pascale Stacey.
The paintings in this exhibition explore different viewing angles of subjects both familiar and unfamiliar: for example, a bridge, passengers asleep on a train, rooftops, and the trunk of a mature tree. In describing her painting style, Pascale states:
Some of my work is abstract or almost so but, overall, my approach is figurative...I will paint anything that evokes an emotion; but I am also attracted to views that are angled and sometimes distorted. Colour is created from the three primary colours and from that point I work with a multitude of tones.
Pascale received an artistic education from a professional painter from a young age, alongside her regular schooling. She has been a member of Marlborough Open Studios since 2018 and exhibits with other professional artists yearly. Her commissions have led to other exhibitions in London and Europe.
Perspectives will be showing at The White Horse Gallery from Friday 8th March - Sunday 31st March 2024 during shop opening hours.
